The project redevelops the public spaces by restoring accessibility to pathways, introducing shade trees, and adding urban seating to make the areas more livable. Its design prioritizes walking over all other modes of transport. The use of local quarry stone allows for the creation of distinct patterns and textures throughout the area, forming a common backdrop that highlights the local historic buildings. The construction work also updates the urban infrastructure, and the new furniture enables visitors and residents to enjoy the spaces.
