Plaça D. Ramón Martí de Vallada, 2017-2018

The intervention restores the access level in front of the BRL church, maintaining vehicle passage around its perimeter and organizing a tiered staircase to overcome the steep longitudinal slope. Exposed aggregate concrete is used to handle the complex geometries around this space, which is framed by two lime trees. The existing fountain is integrated into a new area with benches, from which people can view the entire complex or wait in the shade. Fast-growing mulberry trees create a shaded space for the benches, complementing the entrances to the church, chapel, and the adjacent garden.
